Coca-Cola For Walt Disney World’s 15th Birthday 60-Pin Framed Set’86. Collections include Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, Disney Superstars that includes Mickey and Minnie, Donald and Daisy, Scrooge , Huey, Dewey and Louie, Pluto and Goofy, Peter Pan characters, Alice in Wonderland, Bear Country, Mr Toad and Gumbo, and Pinocchio. Large commemorative center pin with Mickey and 15 th birthday logo with Magic Kingdom , Fantasy Land, Frontier Land, Tomorrow Land, Epcot center, Figment and Main Street pins circling. I have not removed backing. It looks original with sticker on back that reads assembled bu the developmentally disabled for Coca Cola Valley moulding & frame. I have not seen that sticker on any others. There are some white spots on the velour. 26 1/4 x 22 1/4. Coca-Cola Salutes Walt Disney World. 60-PIN FRAMED SET 1986. Walt Disney World of Florida opened its doors in 1971. To celebrate 15 years of magical entertainment, and as a company promotion. Coca-Cola commissioned VALLEY MOULDING & FRAME to assemble a very limited number of Framed Pin Sets. These were not available to the general public. There was a smaller collection. Then there was this Top-of-the-Line Collection. Displaying One (1) Centerpiece Title Plaque. Sixty (60) Disney/Coca-Cola Pins and. Seven (7) Title Plaques. Framed Pin Sets were rare to begin with. Over the past 33 years, many (if not most) have been taken apart to get at the Disney/Coca-Cola Pins. There are a total of 8 Title Plaques. Each Title Plaque is surrounded by associated Disney/Coca-Cola Pins. One is the Centerpiece Title Plaque. It features Mickey Mouse, Walt Disney World logo, Coke logo, and reads. The other 7 Title Plaques are gold in color and MAY be brass… Again, I’m not sure. They read as follows. “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”. This is one reason many Framed Collections have been taken apart. In the late 1980s, I gifted it to my sister. It was on my nephew’s wall when he was a baby for about 4 years. After that, it spent 29 years in storage. My sister requested I sell it. There is zero fading of pitch-black velour backing on which Pins are mounted. Wood Frame is in Excellent Condition. I took numerous photos to show its condition. There is a small gap of approximately 1/16 inch or less in upper right corner by Peter Pan. Frame has a couple very small chips in lower right corner. Wood Frame has zero dents/dings. Wood Frame surrounds a gold-colored Plastic Frame of 3/8 inch depth. This Plastic Frame is in Excellent Condition too. Pins are protected by Plexiglas. Thick black cardboard is stapled to back of Frame. You can see this drilled hole in photo. M anufacturer subsequently drilled another hole in correct location. Black cardboard has faded, as one would expect of a paper product. Cardboard has never been removed. Unlike many other Framed Collections, THIS Framed Collection has NEVER BEEN OPENED and retains its original factory staples. On back is original wire hanger and original manufacturing sticker from VALLEY MOULDING & FRAME with Coke logo. VERY FEW of these Collections retain their original hardware and manufacturing sticker. Pitch-black velour backing, Title Plaques and 60 Disney/Coca-Cola Pins are in Like-New Condition. They have been protected by Plexiglas and cardboard for 33 years. Approximate Dimensions: 25.5″ Length x 23″ Height x 1 Width x 7 lb 2 oz. This Framed Pin Set is a TRUE COLLECTOR’S ITEM. There are probably only a few in existence which are this complete -. Coca-Cola Salutes Walt Disney World Happy 15th Birthday 60 Pin Framed Set 1986. 22.5×25.5 nice quality wood frame w/plexiglas over the set of 60 pins. Each about 1.5 tall. Issued in 1986 by Coke. Original box has anniversary text and logo on the lid along w/image of Mickey in tuxedo. Lightly aged but still Exc. At the center of the display is a 3.5×4.5 metal plaque featuring same design as the box lid. Enamel paint w/bright gold luster. Pins are enameled metal w/acrylic coating. Around the center plaque are 8 pins representing the Magic Kingdom and its theme areas/attractions. The other pins depict Disney characters from 7 different films/themes, each w/matching gold name plaque. These are Disney Superstars, Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, Mr. Most of the pins have s yellow tint to the acrylic coating due to age but display remains Mint as made. Beware of Framed Collections which claim to be NIB (New in Box), yet have had black cardboard backing removed. That is a sign that someone opened Framed Collection, probably removed at least some Pins, and ultimately replaced them (either with original Pins or substitutions). You should also beware of Collections which do not include a photo of back — there is usually a reason for that. You have noticed that I don’t have that original white box with Mickey Mouse’s image. While owning the box is cute, TRUE VALUE of this item is in the Framed Collection — NOT in several cents worth of a cardboard box. On back is original wire hanger and original manufacturing sticker from VALLEY MOULDING & FRAME with Coke logo (please see photos).
