Bought this at Magic Kingdom approximate 2000. I was able to gently open and remove battery out. Yes, it still works. Other then that box and plush Mickey are in excellent shape. This is a collectors item. From what I know the interactive has been disabled from Disney Park usage. I’m not an expert on this toy. Any questions I’ll try to answer for you. This is a rare collectors item as this item was NEVER FOR SALE and only given to visiting dignitaries and VIPs at one single event, during the Shanghai Disney Resort Dedication Ceremony. What you will get is a set of 6 Pins which are contained and will be delivered in a luxurious blue wooden crate, which is just gorgeous (and heavy so you can feel it is made from massive wood, it has a very high-end feel). The pins are cushioned and secured on a beautiful black velvet, held in place with Mickey Mouse ear clips (seen in one of the pictures). The box has several very minor scratches that can barely be seen with the naked eye unless using a magnifying glass (since I used a macro lens to photograph the box they can be seen on the pictures above).
