It is a reproduction of the original 1958 Disneyland souvenir map designed by Sam McKim. The map was released in 1958. This pin map measures 1 3/8 inches by 2.0 inches. This map pin was only available to annual passholders who took a copy of the map to five designated sites throughout the park and had it stamped. I stood in a long line to have this pin signed & dated by the now late Great Disney Imagineer, Sam McKim. During his 32 year career with Walt Disney Imagineering just about every land at Disneyland benefitted from Sam’s magic touch. Sam retired from Disney in 1987 and in 1996 was a recipient of the Disney Legends Award. McKim passed away on July 9, 2004!! This is a map pin made by Disney and NOT a Disney map!
