Disneyland Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Park Adventure Magazine TPA VHTF 1stEd

This is an original copy of the seminal Theme Park Adventure issue on Pirates of the Caribbean. There is nothing else like it on the subject and Rick West really created something here that has never been approximated elsewhere by Disney or other fan-based authors. It is a soft bound black and white magazine with 169 numbered pages, and more than one photo per page on average with many rarely seen outside of this magazine. Rick was granted unprecedented access to the Imagineering archives for this project, and he really made the best of it. As stated on the cover, it features new interviews conducted specifically for this issue with key Imagineers Marty Sklar, Tony Baxter, Bob Baranick and Marc & Alice Davis. This was published in the late 90’s (1997 I believe), around the time of the major rehab of POTC that some people refer to as the “PC rehab” because of the more civilized behaviors exhibited by some of the inhabitants after the rehab. Condition is as shown in the photos. This was a back-up copy so I never looked at it much. There are no tears or creases, but the corners are a bit soft. There is some minor scuffing on the front and back covers. The spine isn’t cracked. Given the softcover nature of the book and the materials used, it is in excellent condition.
