This item is used and has minor condition problems such as small scuffs and a glued leg on the Mickey mouse leg please look at picture #10 please look at all pictures for complete condition. From the Walt Disney Classics Collection. Mickey Mouse and the C. Holliday “I Have Always Loved Trains” This is a Numbered Limited Edition 549 of 1000 pieces that were Exclusive to Disneyland & Walt Disney World. The approximate size of this sculpture is 7″ high x 13″ long x 4 wide. The artist is Chris Peterson. The plussing on this item includes, the bell made of metal, the Flags, Tracks, Wheels and Bell Holder are made of Pewter. The Side Rails, Flag Poles and Boiler Ornamentation are made of Bronze. With the opening of Disneyland in 1955, only two stations existed, Main Street Station and Frontierland Station. 1, styled after the wood-burning locomotives of the 1880’s would only call at Frontierland, providing a complete non-stop circle around the Magic Kingdom. Holliday was modeled after Walt Disney’s own miniature backyard steam engine the Lilly Belle. Holliday, the very first train engine created for a Disney Theme Park, cleared the tracks for future railroads at The Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Tokyo Disneyland in Japan and Disneyland Paris in France. Named after Cyrus Kurtz Holliday (1826 – 1900), he was the Founder of the Atchison & Topeka Railroad in 1859. This sculpture features a backstamp commemorating Walt Disney’s 100th birthday, along with the first-use of a “Walt Disney Parks and Resorts” logo backstamp.
