Bought this at Magic Kingdom approximate 2000. I was able to gently open and remove battery out. Yes, it still works. Other then that box and plush Mickey are in excellent shape. This is a collectors item. From what I know the interactive has been disabled from Disney Park usage. I’m not an expert on this toy. Any questions I’ll try to answer for you.
