Disney World Mgm Studios Backlot Tour Prop Tribal Mask Adventureland
I believe at least for now this will be the last piece from the MGM Backlot tour. This is an interesting piece from The Amazing closed attraction MGM Studios Backlot tour. This is a prop African tribal mask from what I assume was from Jungle Cruise or somewhere in Adventureland. What’s really neat is that this is definitely an authentic tribal mask, and probably pretty old. The Backlot tour attraction had a prop storage area which housed props from movies, tv, and the Disney theme parks. Although it seems most of the props were from Disney world. Although it wasn’t an actual prop storage facility and it was only an attraction, the props inside were real. Along with the MGM Studios logo it also has written Adventureland so we know it from Adventureland. Of course, there were masks like this on the jungle cruise ride. The mask is made of wood, hand carved and is about 12 inches long. Though the tag appears old, I doubt this was an actual prop tag. I think it’s was made and done for the attraction. It was really just for show. However, like I said the props in the attraction were real props from movies and the attractions at the parks. This is something very unique to have from the attraction that no one else will have. A Great Piece from a classic closed attraction.
